About Us | KetaMed: Veteran-Owned Ketamine Clinic in Salisbury

KetaMed Infusions was founded with one goal: to bring real, medically grounded relief to people who’ve run out of options. Based in Salisbury, Maryland and serving the broader Delmarva Peninsula, we’ve spent the last four years helping patients navigate depression, PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain using personalized ketamine therapy.

We’re not a wellness brand. We’re not a trend. We’re a physician-led, veteran-owned clinic that’s committed to delivering care with skill, respect, and heart.

Our Mission

To create a space where patients feel seen—not dismissed. Where treatment-resistant doesn’t mean hopeless. And where every decision is rooted in both clinical expertise and personal compassion.

We believe effective care doesn’t need to be complicated or cold. It needs to be real. At KetaMed, we treat each person as an individual, not a protocol. Because when you’ve tried everything else, you deserve more than a checkbox.

Dr. Mirza Umair Baig

Dr. Mirza Umair Baig is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with a steadfast commitment to improving mental health care through innovative, evidence-based approaches. After years on the front lines of emergency departments, Dr. Baig grew deeply concerned watching patients with psychiatric conditions suffer due to inadequate and delayed care. This experience sparked his transition into the field of ketamine therapy—a cutting-edge treatment offering new hope for individuals with treatment-resistant depression, chronic pain, and other complex conditions.

Dr. Baig’s introduction to ketamine began in the ER, where he safely used it to manage pain and sedation in patients of all ages, including children with fractures. Seeing firsthand its safety, rapid effectiveness, and versatility, he became passionate about its broader potential to transform lives—especially for those who have exhausted traditional psychiatric and pain treatments.

Recently appointed to the Maryland Behavioral Health Advisory Council, Dr. Baig is now helping to shape policy and improve access to quality behavioral health care across the state. His dedication extends beyond the clinical setting; he has served in several leadership roles, including Chief of Emergency Medicine, where he led initiatives to improve hospital-wide quality, safety, and patient-centered care.

In addition to his medical leadership, Dr. Baig is a frequent contributor to local news outlets, where he shares expert insights on public health, mental health awareness, and emergency care. His mission is rooted in compassion, innovation, and advocacy—ensuring every patient, especially those struggling with mental illness, has access to the care and dignity they deserve.
